Who We Are
Chadwick Low Vision Center was founded to fill a critical gap for both patients and eye doctors. General ophthalmologists diagnose diseases, but they rarely have the specialized chair time to help patients adapt to life with vision loss. Commercial optical stores sell glasses, but their labs routinely reject highly complex prescriptions.
That is where we step in. We are a specialized optical laboratory and rehabilitation center. When a doctor tells you “nothing more can be done” for your vision, our work is just beginning. Led by a Master Optician, we act as the bridge between your medical diagnosis and your daily life. With over 25 years of specialized experience in ophthalmic optics, Elena holds the rare and distinguished title of Master Optician (ABOM). She built her career solving the complex visual challenges that standard retail labs turn away.
Elena specializes in high-prism corrections, custom lens edge-thinning for severe myopia, and troubleshooting progressive lens non-adapts. For patients navigating Macular Degeneration and vision loss, her deep expertise in crafting custom magnifiers and optical aids bridges the gap between a medical diagnosis and daily independence.
